Winter Makeup Tips for Glowing Skin
For our winter wonderland beauties, we want to make sure you look like the queens that you are! With winter weather it tends to dry up your skin due to the sudden decrease in temperature. But thankfully we have some helpful makeup tips that will help your skin look moisturized and full of glow. Because we know that every makeup look will look 10x better when the skin beneath is healthy!
So, whether you are getting married or just looking to fight the dry skin during these winter months, then this is the blog for you. If you implement the recommendations, we have for you below, I promise that your skin will love you for it!
Time to Moisturize
Trust me when I tell you if you want to keep your face and neck from feeling too dry, then you need to implement a good moisturizer into your routine. Moisture is the fairy godmother to your skin – it brings life back to your skin and helps return the softness back to it. I love the Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré, because it provides the maximum amount of moisture to your skin and provides maximum hydration. As an added plus, this moisturizer is also a primer for your makeup! I don’t think it can get any better than that.
Use a Light Oil
Okay, so we are currently obsessing over our Makeup Forever Ultra HD Skin Booster! It is a hydrating face serum that helps prepare your face for makeup and soothes the appearance of fine lines. No matter if your skin is naturally drier or oilier, skin oil serum can help rejuvenate your skin. I strongly recommend trying out the Ultra HD Skin Booster, as it is a hit with our clients.
Stay Away from Powder
For your winter beauty look, you might want to stray away from anything too powdery. In my opinion, powder can actually make your skin look duller instead of bright and lively. Instead, look into using anything that is more moisturizing such as cream-based foundations and CC creams. For example, one that I am currently using is IT Cosmetic Your Skin but Better. This cream is amazing because it not only provides light-full coverage, but it also looks flawless. It also protects your skin with SPF 50+ UVA/UVB broad-spectrum sunscreen. It’s the best of both worlds!
Use a Hydrating Facial Mist
I have to admit that sometimes my skin can dry out throughout the day due to a lot of sunlight or cold weather. So, if this happens, use a hydrating facial mist. The one I am currently loving is the Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Setting Spray Replenishing Primer. It is a weightless, three-in-one coconut water-infused mist that both primes your makeup and gives your skin the hydration it needs to stay moisturized throughout the day. There are two sizes that you are able to purchase so you can have one for home and a smaller, travel-sized one you can take with you just in case you need a little “pick me up”.
When it comes to finding the perfect recipe for your skin, hydration is the main ingredient. Although the time for hot chocolate, sweaters and snowball fights are here, that doesn’t mean you should neglect your skin’s health. I mean, your face is the main focal point people tend to look at all the time, so make sure you take care of it. You deserve to feel confident and beautiful!
