I have always loved all things beauty! In 2009, I went to Florida College of Natural Health in South Florida (where I am from) and received my esthetician license, which gave me a little taste of makeup artistry. I later realized I wanted a way to express my creative side. What better way than doing what I love: makeup! That passion didn’t disappear as I got married in 2012 and trekked north to Maryland (a bit chillier than Florida, might I add!) with my husband. It wasn’t until 2014 when I gave birth to my beautiful daughter that I considered turning my love for makeup into something more.
My dream was to be able to stay home with my baby; I didn’t want to have to rely on anyone else to raise her. Even so, there was a part of me that still wanted to contribute. I could have easily been a stay-at-home mom, but I realized pursuing a career as a makeup artist would give me the freedom to raise my daughter and the ability to express myself. Just what I wanted!
After a few months of working with agencies, my entrepreneurial spirit got the best of me, and I decided to venture out on my own. Soon, I had so many clients that I decided to part with the companies I worked for so I could focus on building my own business.
During my years as a makeup artist, I’ve noticed a trend: many makeup artists cater to only one kind of woman. That’s why I created PriscillaM Beauty–I wanted to contribute. PriscillaM Beauty is an inclusive business that celebrates diversity and helps all kinds of women feel confident and beautiful in their own way. I love the opportunity to create new looks for each client. Makeup is an art, and a good artist knows that each work of art should be different than the last.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, traveling, seeing movies, and finding new restaurants. I love listening to music and dancing with my daughter. My faith plays an essential role in my life, and my desire to serve God fuels everything I do, including PriscillaM Beauty.
